Rules

                1. Please respect your staff! We work hard to make this forum reality and manage this forum so that it is fun for everyone. If you do have complaints please see the "Questions and Complaints Board"

                2. No cursing. This applies to EVERYONE, including staff. We want to keep this role-play friendly to all ages. You are allowed to use cannon curses (example: mouse-brain, fish-breath, ect.) but otherwise please do not curse. You will get a waning the first three times you are caught cursing, but after that you will be banned.

                3. Do not start plots without permission! Anything involving a cat outside your Clan MUST have staff permission beforehand. And don't be afraid to ask about plots! 

                        3A. We encourage you guys to come up with plots and PM the staff about them! It's best to go to your Clan Leader or Deputy, but any staff member you feel comfortable talking too will be more than willing to help. We just need you to keep us informed!

                4. No OOC (out of character) posts on IN (in character) boards. You can post OOC on the OOC boards, the Essential Information boards, and on activity checks and the like. No OOC in role-play please. The only people allowed to do this are staff members, and only to preform essential tasks, not chatting. If you believe the staff or any other member is abusing this rule don't be afraid to speak up and say so on the Questions and Complaints Board, or PM another staff member about it.

                5. NO GODMODDING. Please. It's not cool. This is when you decide the actions of another member in your post. Only RP as your own character. If you are caught godmodding you will be warned and your post will be deleted after the first two times you are caught, on the third instance you will be banned.

                        5A. No metagaming either. This is when you give your character an advantage by having it know info it shouldn't. 

                        5.B. If you witness another member godmodding or metagaming please report it to the Leader or Deputy of your Clan

                6. "Powers" are not allowed. No one is allowed to have special powers, even if it is barely noticeable. No. No speaking to humans, no flying, no being able to breath underwater. This is traditional RP and your characters must be realistic.

                7. Please advertise only in the advertisements board.

                8. If you are not a Temporary Queen or Temporary Kit-Mother you are not allowed to have kits without staff permission.

                9. You MUST have an admin or leader's permission to kill off your character. Once your character is dead they are dead FOREVER.

                10. Please only have realistic warrior names. Nothing along the likes of Roadkit, Soap-paw, Hammerjaw or Pillowpelt. We are pretty lax about what constitutes a realistic name but try and keep it reasonable.

                        10A. You character MUST HAVE A REALISTIC APPEARANCE. Pelts may not be pink, purple, blue (blue-gray is fine), green, or rainbow. This includes eye colors as well!-- no purple eyes! Keep in mind that your cat must look realistic.
                                            10A1. Although we do not allow unrealistic eye colors we do bend the rules the same way they do in the books. Cats can have blue eyes regardless of coat color and silver/gray eyes are allowed.
                                            10A2. Cats cannot have red eyes unless they are albino.

                        10B. You may not use a warrior/Tribe name that another member already has, or one that has been used in the books. This includes any NPC characters that you may make!
                                    10B1. You may use a Tribe "nickname" that has been used in the books, but not the full name (meaning your character may have the nickname "Brook" as long as their full name is not "Brook Where Small Fish Swim")

                11. Please do not double post IC or OOC please. The only time double posting is acceptable is if you are bumping your biography, and you can only do this after at least 1 week of no one posting on your bio.

                12. No sexual material. This will not be tolerated. If you are found posting sexual or sexually suggestive material on the roleplay boards or in PMs you will be immediately banned, no exceptions.

                        12A. This is not meant to be any sort of statement, this is simply because this website is open to all ages and CoMV wants to keep all its members safe!

                13. For faster loading and the convenience of others with smaller and slower computers, there is a size limit to your signature. You can have as many images and pieces of text as you'd like that roughly fit in the box below. If your signature does not fit in the box, then a staff member will PM you and remove it. Please note that there is about a 25 pixel leeway. The size is 600 x 400.

                14. Only have one character per account. If you want to RP more than one character you have to make a separate account for each character.

                        14A. As of now we do not have a limit for the amount of characters you can have per user. The suggested limit is 5, but please do not make any more characters than you can handle!
                          14B. You may not roleplay with yourself. This is strictly banned. You may have characters that are related to one another and even friends with each other but you cannot roleplay with your own character.
                            14C. You cannot post for multiple characters on the same account. If you have two characters that are in the same thread (like a gathering or clan meeting) you cannot post for both characters in the same post or even on the same account. You must login and post separately for each character.

                15. For your own safety you are not allowed to share personal information on this site. This means your age, your full name, where you live, and your address. We also encourage you to not post pictures of yourself, but you are allowed to if you wish (as long as they are appropriate).

                16. Clan-members and Tribe-members must have staff permission to have NPC characters. Rouges/Loners/Kittypets are allowed to have NPC characters if it is for the purpose of fleshing out their backstory, but they are to keep these characters to minimum (ten is maximum number of NPC cats you can know/be related to). These NPC characters are not allowed to be Clan or Tribe cats unless you have staff permission.

                17. CoMV is a LGBT+ friendly place! Feel free to make characters that are non-heterosexual and/or transgender or genderqueer (of course, since cats have no way of physically transitioning, your character must stay their born sex for their entire life).

                    17A. If your character is a trans she-cat she will not be able to get pregnant and give birth to kits since her body does not have the organ to do so. A trans tom cannot get another cat pregnant.

                    17B. If your character comes out as transgender later on in life please make sure you notify the activity check and mothers thread of your Clan/Tribe so that they can change your characters gender.

                    17C. Respect LGBT+ characters and members. I know that this is a more controversial topic, but this forum is supposed to be a safe place for the LGBT+ community and if it's not something you support than that is fine; just please don't get mad at anyone who does support their community or is part of the community. No one is forcing you to interact with them.

                    17D. Do not have your character bully another cat for being LGBT+ unless that member gives you the OK to do so.

                    17E. Members caught bullying another member for being LGBT+, or another reason for that matter, will be given one warning (depending on severity) and will be banned on their second instance.
